Horsin' around

I haven't been sure how I would try to get back to posting stuff that wasn't Mike related; none of my drawings seemed to be the appropriate place to start back. Then the idea came to me while looking at one of Kaitlin's recent drawings that our kids literally are our future, and what better way to look into my future than by posting one of her drawings that brings a smile to my face. For those that can't tell, she's riding on a horse (or is it a unicorn?), while bending over to take a look out at us. I love the foreshortening, and the way she captured her hair, and her happy expression that she captured with just a few lines. It makes it easier to find hope again... at least for me.

rich--

i love this and what a great way to find hope and promise in tomorrow. what a great drawing! the thing i love the most about it, though, is that she looks like she's hugging the horse as much as riding it.

thanks for sharing!

sweet! i dig it.

there's something magic about kids' drawings...

limitless possibilities, unrestrained by boring reality...

Hiya, Richard. Long time/first time.

I've been an enormous fan for many years (one of your Doom Patrol original pages hangs in my office). Thanks so much for keeping the blog and for a career's worth of fantastic work.

I've been meaning to send you a note for awhile to thank you for all the inspiration and I was extremely jealous a couple of years back when my friend Raphael Chandler told me he was collaborating with you on a story for one of the RedStorm games...

Anyhow, love the updates and I'll continue to check back often.
