Auctioning painting to help fellow artist injured in hit and run.

Madame Dragon- Acrylic on Canvas, 9 x 12"

I've posted this painting on ebay, as a fundraiser for a fellow artist who lost her leg in a hit and run accident.

All proceeds from this sale go to help Ana Kessel, a local artist who recently interned at nearby Insomniac Games, who was the victim of a hit and run accident that left her without a leg.  As an intern, she had no insurance, nor did the driver who was caught.  While I've never met Ana, I felt her story compelling. It's tough enough trying to establish a career in the gaming industry, without the hardship of losing a limb.  More on her story here- http://www.gofundme.com/58oak4

The auction itself can be found here- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251381807157

Please help if you are compelled and able.
Thanks!

Annie Ammo and Usagi Yojimbo

Once again have the pleasure of appearing at this year's Baltimore Comic-Con, on September 7th and 8th, and like last year, contributing to the Con yearbook.  The yearbook is a cool way to celebrate a milestone of a creator owned character or property, and the pages are filled with artists teaming up their own character with the celebrated one(s).

The other cool thing the show does is then create a sort of scavenger hunt at the show, wherein buyers of the book try to get as many of the artists' signatures in their book, to earn a prize print.  Pretty cool concept!  And we got many more folks coming by our tables last year that wouldn't have otherwise known our work, so a win all around.

Last year, it was Frank Cho's Liberty Meadows celebrating 15 years.  This year, Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo celebrates 30 years!  A fine accomplishment!

Needless to say, I had a blast teaming Annie Ammo with Usagi.  I may well have to set a future story in Feudal Japan...

Hope to see some of y'all at the show, and enjoy!

Cliff and Jane go to Heroes

Sketch of Cliff and Jane that I started at Heroes Con last month and finally got around to finishing.  Did this as a special thanks to Craig Fischer, who did a bang-up job moderating the 25th anniversary of Grant and my run on Doom Patrol.  His preparedness was over-the-top good, from posing great questions to having tons of visual reference.

Thanks Craig!

Hope

Recently completed commission of Hope Summers, from recent X-Men continuity.  I have to confess, I didn't know much about this character beforehand, and had to read up.  The first bits of info were quite confusing to follow- guess I'm a bit out of the loop.  Still, had fun working on it...

Happy Valentine's Day

Posting a commission I completed a couple months back for the first time, but with added color.  Seemed appropriate for Valentine's.  Not quite finished, but too exhausted and got a flight to catch in morning... Will update once I get to polish it up.
