Delirium a la Ariel

While not my original intention for this commissioned sketch, this one kind of developed into a strange sort of homage to The Little Mermaid's Ariel.  I think it started when the fish on Delirium's string started reminding me of Flounder...  I don't know.

Also of note- this was done in a Moleskine watercolor sketchbook, and I loved the feel and texture of the paper.  Note to self- get me one of those!

Love this piece! The whole underwater theme is a great touch. This turned out way better than anything I could have imagined!

Glad you like it Ben! I'm not sure we've ever seen any of the Endless underwater before, but it just seemed a natural to me somehow.

Ive always loved your designs for Delirium, but being a male cannot cosplay as her...

Rich, that's beautiful! This is probably a stupid question but is this colored with actual watercolors or some sort of markers?

Thanks Matt. It is actual watercolors over top of brush marker inks. Was really impressed with the durability of the black from the marker ink after putting on layers of watercolor wash. The pens are Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens. Found them from jetpens.com. Highly recommend them!
